Turmeric is the key ingredient in Golden Milk. Golden Milk can be used as a natural sleep aid beverage.
A simple recipe for golden milk:
- 1 cup of unsweetened milk (I prefer almond or cashew)
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- few slices of ginger
- 1 to 2 tbsp of honey (sweetness depends on your taste)
Add milk, turmeric, cinnamon, and ginger slices into a saucepan. Stir to combine ingredients. Heat the milk on low and bring to a low simmer. This should take you around 5 minutes. Once milk starts to bubble, let it simmer on low for another 3-5 minutes. Remove the saucepan from heat. Strain out the solids and pour into a cup. Drink while warm and enjoy.
The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties found in turmeric helps the skin regain its glow and luster. Turmeric is also known for aiding in the reduction of inflammation in the skin by targeting the pores and calming the skin. In addition to all of that, turmeric helps in fighting off acne, reducing dark circles, hyperpigmentation, and lightening scars or marks.
Our Turmeric Facial Scrub is a weekly staple you want to include in your beauty regimen. It is made with natural ingredients such as ground oats, olive oil, avocado oil, and Shea butter. It is scented with rose geranium, lemon, and bergamot essential oils which are a perfect complement to the benefits of a facial scrub.
Please note that turmeric stains - so some skin tones my experience yellow stains. A follow-up water rinse with a mild cleanser should sufficiently remove any yellow residue.
