It's just me, myself, and I and there is nothing selfish about that.
Candles, tea, yoga, and meditation can sometimes be synonymous with self-care and although that is great for some, they may not be attainable for others. Some of us don't have the privilege that come with that image of self-care (time, finance, etc.).
Self-care does not have to look like an Instagram feed. It can be anything you choose to do to care for your mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health. It can be as simple as watching your favorite show, eating your favorite meal, or peacefully commuting on the Sun Rail for 43 minutes without having to speak to anyone.
And, yes, it could also be relaxing in bath bomb-filled tub, melting away in butter bomb-filled bath, inhaling the citrus herbs while soaking in botanical bath salts, or enjoying the exfoliating and cleansing of a great body scrub.
It is ANYTHING you choose to give yourself peace of mind when needed. DO YOU. But, remember, homicide is still illegal in all 50 of the United States and its territories.
